About Us

"John Hodges is among the most powerful forces I’ve ever seen in a courtroom. A natural litigator."

- M.L.

When I am not advocating for my clients, I continue to serve as a Major and Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. Away from work, I play golf (rarely), exercise (in a modified home gym), and spend time with my family (that keeps growing. See John’s brother here.

Most importantly, I continue to grow in my relationship with Jesus, and regularly attend Crossbridge Community Church and a small Life Group with other followers of Jesus. Whether you have a case or not, I am always willing to talk to you about Jesus.

John W. Hodges, Jr.

My name is John W. Hodges, Jr., and I am a trial lawyer. I am a Texas native, but I left after graduation from the University of Texas at San Antonio for active duty as U.S. Marine Corps officer. Shortly after a deployment to Iraq, I was selected by the Marine Corps to attend law school at the University of Nebraska through the highly-competitive Funded Law Education Program. During law school, I represented the University of Nebraska in trial competitions as a member of the National Trial Team. I completed the Litigation Skills Program of Concentrated Study and received my Juris Doctorate in 2011.

After I spent more than 10 years as an active duty Marine and Judge Advocate (JAG), I returned home to Texas to represent individuals in need of a bold, passionate attorney.

My passion is to fight for people who have been injured or are threatened with the loss of their family or freedom. I am a litigator, dedicated to the relentless pursuit of justice for my clients. I have represented injured individuals and massive corporations, and I have obtained phenomenal results and money judgments for my clients, sometimes even when they were party who was first sued.

I have dedicated my practice to personal injury and civil litigation because I believe that my fighting spirit and litigation skills are best suited for the courtroom. If you have been wronged and you are ready to fight back, hire an attorney who will tirelessly and fearlessly fight on your behalf. Explore our website and social media pages; read the reviews from our clients and other attorneys and consider these endorsements when you are choosing your attorney. Call or email me when you’re ready to fight fiercely for your rights.

Over a decade of practice, I have represented individuals and businesses in various stages of growth from the home office start-up to the established corporation. I take time to understand your unique story and personal goals. My greatest joy in my work is having the opportunity to stand side-by-side with good-people striving to achieve the American dream.

I understand the grit it takes to run a business and keep it going. Every day I assist businesses throughout the entire life cycle of the business, beginning, middle and end.

Stop by or give me a call to discuss your business and goals. We would appreciate the opportunity to help you achieve them.

My life is founded on my faith in Jesus. I am called to love and care for people throughout all aspects of life, including my profession. This calling leads me to pursue truth and justice always.

In my time away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids, being outside working, hiking, and hunting, and watching hockey and UFC.

Aaron D. Hendley

My name is Aaron Hendley, and I am an attorney, advisor, and business-owner.

I was born and raised in Texas. Following a strong small-town education, I earned a Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce focused on Finance in 2006. Not one to waste a minute, I immediately moved to Lubbock to complete my formal education at Texas Tech School of Law. During law school, I worked for several law firms and served on the Texas Tech Law Review. I earned numerous awards as a law student and graduated near the top of my class in 2009.

Knowing that formal education alone rarely makes a formidable attorney, I worked with attorneys every chance I could during law school, then dedicated my legal training to a well-respected law firm with highly experienced business attorneys for over five years.

The next major step in my career was to start my own business like I had seen clients do time after time. As a solo law office business owner, I have learned what it takes to deliver value-adding services and be responsive through the completion of the work. Due to loyal and happy clients, my small business thrived and provided support for my growing family.

Knowing the power of building the right team, John and I combined our practices in 2019 to form Hendley & Hodges Law. We both believe that our services are best delivered through old-fashioned, personal communication coupled with the efficient use of cutting-edge technology. We approach legal challenges with the idea that solutions exist and are not just problems to be identified. Where law and business meet, there are usually a variety of solutions with varying levels of risk. We will advise you on your range of options (and the related risks) to support your business decisions.
